Sulgrave Village Shop was voted Best Rural Retailer in the southern region by the Countryside Alliance. Our shop was also nominated by the panel of judges in the The Observer's Ethical Retailer Awards, which subsequently led to Sulgrave Village Shop being featured on ITV's Tonight with Trevor McDonald.

The shop, the post office, the pub and the parish church, cornerstones of village life, have all been under pressure from the centralising and rationalising tendencies of government and big business.
